Egypt!
A bit after the fact, but I wanted to share the pictures all the same. My Egypt experience was totally awesome! It was a much needed holiday after my first semester teaching, an escape from December, a chance to make new friends, and above all, to see another corner of the world.
Climbing St. Sinai was an experience never to forget. We started our clamber around 1 a.m. because we wanted to see the sunrise. Instead of sun, however, there was a dangerous lightning storm awaiting us at the top. Rain followed this lightening, chasing us down the mountain a little prematurely. Nevertheless, it was a great climb.
Did I mention our nice hotel accomadations?
Swimming in the Red Sea and camel backing with Saudi Arabi along the opposite shore were the Tuesday and Wednesday activities.

Cairo was the Thursday excursion when we saw the Pyramids, Sphinx, and spent the day admiring our very cute tour guide Phillip, who was half Polish, half Egyptian. Unfortunately, I do not have his picture... yet!

We also made some friends at the shops in Sharm El Sheik. This guy told me he was in love with me. Hmm....
It was hard to leave our Paradise...
