Cos jeszcze?

I had been making an attempt to keep my new found finger nails looking relatively healthy ever since I discovered yesterday how long they have gotten, but that all “went to pot” after about two hours of the hay bailing process today. To spite the blisters, I have really enjoyed helping out with the haying this summer. I keep asking Robert to teach me how to drive the tractor and do the actual bailing, but I haven’t convinced him quite yet.

The last hour we bailed, I climbed up into the loft and helped Robert get the bails off the hay elevator. Getting them off the elevator is nothing, but throwing them up to Robert, and keeping up with the elevator is hard work! Robert said, quoting George W. that it had been “an American moment.” It was so incredibly hot up there that when we were done, I ran across the street and jumped into the pool with all my clothes on. Kelly kept asking me as we were walking over “Are you really gonna do it doll-doll? With all your clothes on?” One big cannon ball later, she got her answer. She really is so sweet. I just love being around her and living up here. I’ve decided that Wyalusing and Poland are my safe-asylums on the earth.

I decided today that I am sick of sneezing and wanting to rip my face off due to allergies. So I finally broke down and took some meds. I hate taking meds, really I do. Right now I feel so weird, like I have a fever but not, and my heart is acting so strange and I am so thirsty…

I have a little over two weeks left to tie up loose ends before flying out on the 8th. I found a super cheap airline ticket on Student Universe for $262 on Swiss airlines. It was a real answer to prayer. I am going without a student visa because the Polish Consulate won't give me one, but the woman in the foreign student office at the Academy has told me to come anyway and we will worry about the visa later. So here goes my front-tuck, spring board leap of faith into the wide, wet, world of the Polish unknown.
