Ukrainian Shadows

It would seem that I have a new "friend" since last night at vespers. I suppose a new pack of Ukrainians have come over to study, one of which has been quite friendly. His name is Vladimar, or Wojek, or the least congenial, Voo-voh which he asked me to call him, but I think is a little to uh... well, nevermind but I am not calling him that! Anyway, he keeps trying to talk to me in Polish and I guess this is a little difficult because unlike other people who just talk to me, this guy actually wants me to talk back! So he is asking me questions all the time and I don't understand half of what he is asking me, so this afternoon when he would come to talk to me, I just ran away from him- literally. Well I guess this has made him even more curious because he finally cornered me while I was baking and I guess we had a nice conversation. Betina says he is good husband material because he is willing to peal apples and wash carrots. I don't know if this is enough for me, though I guess it is nice. I wouldn't mind some muscles and hair to go along with a vegetable washer/fruit peeler. I think this guy has muscles (or at least was flexing when I was elbowing him in the abs and yelling "spadaj" which means get lost), but he isn't hairy, and he's only 20. Eh, no see?
