Thanksgiving Part 1: Blogging as we go...

It's half past midnight and Mike and I have just returned home after 7 hours of prep. Kris came and helped for a bit too, so we were able to get a lot done. All the desserts are finished: 2 pumpkin pies, 2 apple pies, 2 cherry crumb pies, 1 peach pie and enough banana bread to serve at least 48. The salad is soaking, the stuffing is drying, potatoes are peeled and boiled and the dough for dinner rolls is rising as I write.

So tomorrow we will go to Carrefore to pick up the turkey and then head to the church for the last phase of preperation. I'm feeling fairly confident that the cooking will go smoothly, but I just don't know what to expect as far as attendance. All together I think we have invited about 45 people by now. Either they all show up and we barely have enough food, or half show up and we will be loaded with left overs. I just don't know.

I do know however that I am tired and I don't want those little baggies under my eyes to be any worse tomorrow than they are naturally. (smile)
