Ain't Yo Mama, Krakowian Style!
This is what we did in characterization today! Isn't it cool? And yes, it is me, unlike the Sir Mix-a-lot special in yesterday's blog.
We've had beautiful sunshine all week long and today it was even starting to warm up! Spring is close, but the winds are about to change bringing in some nasty rain scheduled for tomorrow. Oh, and here I am talking about weather just like a Brit!
Dancing and 'Styl i Gest' were both excellent today. Ach! First period was working on the Krakowian Style Polka and Second period was the continuation of our Carmen routine. The second routine we started today is to the Entrance to the fourth act. The routine has Carmen prancing around with her fan toying with poor Don Jose- it's a lot of fun, especially since I was paired up with a certain immature, but charming classmate who is very easy on the eyes. He also dances and role plays very well, which is important. Chojnacka dished out an extra dose of passion since she knows the opera really well and I believe she said she was the choreographer for it with the opera company in Krakow. No classes tomorrow, but a pleasantly packed weekend ahead. The school of English begins its two week 'winter holiday' next week, so for once I will be able to concentrate on just being a student, even if only for a little while.
