Kris Malewski: Date Failure

Next to summer sunshine, I think I shall prefer February. It has snowed almost everyday the past week with temperatures high enough to feel comfortable outisde. So Kris and I, in our usually fashion, arranged an outting to take pictures and hit the artsy-fartsy cafe in Podkowa.

Kris came over around 3:30 and we headed for the woods. We ran into a horse drawn sleigh with accompanying doggies, and a family with 3 Welsh Korgis! So of course I had a "locksome foxsome" moment (my favorite nickname for foxy, the smarter of our two Korgis at home).

Kris takes exceptional pictures, but then takes forever to get them developed. For sure I won't see today again for another 3 or 4 months.

After a few hours of that, we made our way over to Milomoi Cafe, if for no other reason than that I had to shoo shoo (spelled siu-siu in Polish) and that was so severe because I had been drinking my very favorite non-coffee Inka which I had just bought at the shops and rice milk, not because I want to substitute for health reasons, but I simply really like the taste. So Kris tourtured me for another half hour dragging me around Podkowa East the long way to the Cafe.

When we got there it was totally packed with no free seats in sight, so instead of waiting I suggested we try the ghetto wannabe cafe on the main street. When we got there, they were completely out of goods. Then Kris goes "Well, I guess I will just go to McDonalds." Of course he did this on purpose because he knows how much I love McDonalds, so I told him he was a 'date failure' for not inviting me. He is furthermore a date failure for not planning anything for us to do on Valentine's Day, and since Kris has been my excursion buddy for the past year, it would seem natural for us to spend V-day together- but apparently not. So I have become the 'date savior', not only this evening, but other times too. Shall I remind the dear reader of the time when Kris and Dolly almost didn't make it to Salome in time because Kris left the opera tickets at home? Point made.

We pulled the plans together in time to for dinner and McDonalds where there is always enough room. ;)

Krzystof Grzegorz Malewski, what would you do without me and my date saving skills?

Dolly, have mercy on Kris! :-)
You were busy on V-day, remember? ;-)
Why are all the ladies at McDonalds dressed in red, you including? Btw, that color suits you very well!
Kolorowych snow!
