Rainbow High

I came home yesterday and found this waiting for me:



Funny, I didn't remember leaving a rabbit on my table, nor did I realize MAK was capable acheiving flight. As you can see, I had been pushing the table up against the wall to lengthen the distance as to discourage my furry friend, however not even the added barrier of the folded chairs could dismay MAK.

Pani Chojnacka has broken her arm, hence I rushed to wash off all my make-up from Characterization class to make it on time for dancing, and then class was cancelled.



Had another great lesson with Frog Eyes. I think I made significant progress today in the 'where exactly should I place my voice' dilema. I've just been thinking about too many things while singing- I've learned too many revolutionary concepts this year and have been struggling with adopting all of them at once. As soon as I start thinking about an open throat, I forget about tonal focus, and then posture, and then energy source, and then emotion, and then... ug! But Mommy said she thinks I have a future. Pani Malgorzata seconded it with a "pewny!" (for sure). Chojnacka asked me last week if I was serious about making it to the stage one day, to which I replied very much, yes. She asked what I had in mind- Paris, Warsaw, something in The States and I realized I hadn't really thought about it before. Maybe cause I am too busy thinking about my thesis for next year. Frog Eyes totally digs my thesis topic, but I am starting to have my doubts- since for starters, Nadia Boulanger wasn't really a composer. So which of her 'stylistic characteristics' am I going to find in Polish Vocal Music anyway? Oh well, we'll come up with something. If not, MAK and I are going to run away and join the circus as Rainbow girl and her side kick bunny who can leap over tall bulidings in a single bound!
