The System is Mine

I've always loved older men, but I never thought I would become one. In characterization class yesterday we learned how to speed up the aging process teamed with the application of fake facial hair. I started out with a really nice stache, but 30 seconds later when the adhesive started to feel really hot and I asked if that was normal, Pani Renata quickly removed my sexy lip hair with some spiritus and I was left feeling like a 18 year old boy who can't even grow peach fuzz. So we improvised! The very Daniel who I have written about before is the one in the middle.



Pani Chojnacka returned this week, plasered and all which hasn't slowed her down one bit. We continued learned how to 'Oberek!' and started the first steps of the 'Waltz' on which I was quite hopeless. My problem is over stepping on the swing into third position in front and back because I am one of these girls that takes huge steps, even in heals. Back to the mirror...

Styles and Gestures was a completely different story. The first hour we worked on the Carmen routine, which I love. Second hour was continuing our routine of romantic gestures. This is really something!!!! There are 7 gestures in the routine, all involve real touching such as face cupping, lip tracing, neck caressing, and just yesterday, kissing. YES that's right!!! Some guys obviously felt more comfortable getting closer than others and most of us just went for the nose, but I really can't get over how cool I am with all of this compared to 6 months ago when I couldn't even do cat stretches in front of everyone. Part of it has to be because I know everyone now. My partner is Oscar who has got to be around 6 foot. Even in heals, I wasn't even close to target when it came my turn to pucker up! We have a good time though. Oscar really gets into it, increased heartbeat and all- I know because I have to feel it. Oscar always forgets who starts first. I said of course he was because he was the guy and he said, 'don't girls ever go first?' to which I explained, 'not in things like these, we shouldn't.' A man only has two real responsibilities: to initiate and to eat. I told Oscar, 'all the rest I will do." ;)

With work after that, so ended another busy week. As I was dashing towards the train to my English lesson, I thought how nice it is to be in a rush (when you know you will make it on time, naturally) and how much beauty there is in those moments when I am running from home to train, from train to school, washing off make-up with maniac speed to make it to dancing on time- it is exactly these times that I will be talking about for the rest of my life. 14 hour days! Back to back classes! Flying through the city and beyond at full power! I know the streets above and below, I know the trams and the buses, I wait for people and people wait for me. My time is every minute of every day. My time is now.
