Things You Never Wanted To Know! -or- Day at the Zuu

I like the double title, don't you? It gives the blog a kind of Rocky and Bulwinkle flair, no?

Friday was crazy hectic. I spent the morning memorizing music for both the upcoming "Salon Petersburg" concert and for the master class with Kaczykowski I had decided to sing for. A few hours into that, Lev came over for a visit and to verify our date with Joe and the Jews the evening. I apologized for my unruly appearance, but explained that I only had a drip coming out of my shower and had been unable to wash my hair, to which Lev offered his bath tub. Hesitant at first, I finally accepted due to my overwhelming desire to be clean, and the luxurious concept of a tub. Well, I have never seen Podkowa's water in such a quantity gathered in one place before, other than on the sidewalk, but let me tell you, there is not much difference in color. Things you never notice when taking a shower suddenly become "clear" when you are sitting in the middle of it up to your belly button. Gross, gross, gross.

Sabbath morning, Lev and I WKDed to Warszawa for Sabbath school and church. His lunch appointment was with Ania Samuszonek, a well known Adventist actress, and mine was with the English Sabbath school class at Emmanuel and Winnie Zuu's. Emmanuel goes simply by "Zuu", so I call Winnie "Zuu 2". Our Sabbath school class in Warsaw is usually much bigger than the four of us who went to the Zuus', but other members were either missing or sick. Hence, It was Mike, Jessica, Agnieszka, and I. Here we are with Zuu waiting for the bus after church.




Zuu is absolutely hilarious, and Winnie is really sweet, so we had a great time.

Today I've had/am having my normal private lessons with Daniel and Adasz, and then I'm off to Warsaw (again!) for a concert at the Philharmonic with Peter. Should be fun!
